GRAITEC Advance Design Reinforced Concrete Modules are an innovative series of applications for rebar detailing and modeling using engineering BIM data, helping users to createdesigndocumenttrack and control structural members of a BIM project whilst also working in multiple BIM environments.

 

 

The GRAITEC Advance Reinforced Concrete Modules are a collection of advanced apps for automating structural design aiming to detail BIM workflows and to produce the technical documentation.  With the latest updates, Advance Design is enhanced with new functionalities and improvements with high benefits for the end-user. It is articulated around a few main subjects:

> Performance – increasing the speed of loading, calculations, and generating drawings.

> Improvements for ease of use – easier input of data thanks to a clear interface for reinforcement assumptions and thanks to improvements to presentations on views.

> Improvements requested by users – changes important in everyday work, as presenting more results in the Info panel, possibility for using double angles for gusset steel connections, or calculations according to the local national appendixes to Eurocode

The Reinforced Concrete Modules work to various international standards to automate the design and creation of 3D rebar cages and produce related documentation including design reports, drawings, and schedules, for common concrete Column, Beam, Footing, Wall, and Slab elements. GRAITEC Advance Design Reinforced Concrete Modules seamlessly integrate with Autodesk® Revit, Advance PowerPack for Autodesk® Revit, Advance Design, GRAITEC OMD, and even operates as standalone, offering a practical solution that simplifies the workflow between structural engineers and technicians.

GRAITEC Advance Design Reinforced Concrete Modules can be used at any stage of the process to support multiple workflows, from completely isolated processes to fully connected BIM. For example, the reinforcement generator can interrogate the FEM results to automatically calculate rebar or can be used on its own to simply generate rebar cages based on user input. Equally, the user can apply estimated forces and use the Reinforced Concrete Modules to produce reinforcement cages for the entire project's columns, beams, walls, footings, and slabs - very powerful for estimating as reinforcement can be created for an entire project in minutes.

Construction engineers often deal with large project sites, where they need to calculate and reinforce hundreds of structural elements. In these situations, in order to streamline and simplify the process for the site engineer and at the same time reduce the management overhead of material bar schedules, elements are built with the same section properties and rebar quantities as part of a group.

A single reinforcement cage type is generated and placed in the formwork. This makes it possible to deal with fewer reinforcement bar lengths and bar shapes. In the design process, this result can be achieved using the Design Group concept in the Advance Design Rebar Modules, whilst working inside Autodesk® Revit, or when using the Graitec Advance Design platform.

Fully detailed customizable design reports, including detailed calculation formulas with references to the code for rapid validation, can be produced from any platform in a single click.

Country specific, user-configurable templates enable fully dimensioned and annotated drawing views and sections to be automatically produced, complete with bar schedule and the option to also create a drawing sheet.

GRAITEC Advance Design Reinforced Concrete Modules are localized for Europe, Canada, and North-America.

Display graphical results for the performed verifications, such as stability checks, interaction curves, or diagrams, for a better overview of the status of the designed element.
