The Footing or Column command in PowerPack for Revit is a specialized tool designed for creating design groups from your selected footings or columns. This command is particularly valuable in structurally aligning multiple elements within a project.
Once a design group is formed, the command facilitates the generation of identical reinforcement bar cages for each element in the group. This is achieved by considering theoretical reinforcement area envelopes and worst-case scenarios for geotechnical checks.
On the PowerPack Rebar ribbon, go to the Create Reinforcement panel and select the Footing or Column command from the Create Group drop-down list.

To use the command, start by selecting the elements you want to group. Then, apply the command, which will open a dialog box. In this dialog box, you'll need to select a template that will be applied to all the elements in the group and assign a name to the group.
