Installing the Server License Utility 

 

The first step in setting up a network on-premise license is to download and install the Cryptlex Server License Utility on the server machine. This tool is part of the new GRAITEC licensing system based on Cryptlex technology and replaces the legacy Server License Utility based on FLEX technology.

Download steps 

To download the Cryptlex Server License Utility installer to the server machine, complete the following steps: 

1. Run the provided Setup.exe file on the server machine. 
2. In the setup interface, click Network License Manager.

3. Select the folder where the installation files should be downloaded.

4. Wait until the download is completed. 
5. After the download finishes, open the LicenseServerCryptlex folder and confirm that the installer file CryptlexServerLicenseUtility.msi is present.

The installer file name follows this format: CryptlexServerLicenseUtility<Region>.msi 

For example: 

• CryptlexServerLicenseUtilityFrance.msi 
• CryptlexServerLicenseUtilityGermany.msi 
• CryptlexServerLicenseUtilityRomania.msi 
• CryptlexServerLicenseUtilityInternational.msi 

 

 

The exact file name may vary depending on the selected language in the Setup.exe interface. 

 

 

Installation steps 

To install the Cryptlex Server License Utility on the server machine, complete the following steps: 

1. Run the CryptlexServerLicenseUtility.msi installer. 
2. Follow the installation wizard and keep the default options unless a different setup is required by your environment. 
3. After the installation is completed, open Cryptlex Server License Utility from the Start menu.

4. Verify that the application opens and that the Home screen is displayed.
