Deactivation for a Named User License
This guide explains how to deactivate a Named User License when switching devices or managing access.
Automatic Deactivation when Switching Devices
- When you sign in on a new device, the license automatically deactivates on the previously active device.
- This ensures compliance with license usage rules.
- You may remain signed in on multiple devices, but the license can only be active on one device at a time.
Manual Deactivation via the License Utility
If needed, you can manually deactivate your license by signing out using the License Utility.
Steps
Launch the License Utility on the computer where the software is currently active.

Open the License Utility
Click Sign Out to deactivate all active licenses linked to your account on that device.

The Sign Out option
After signing out, your account will be ready to authenticate on another device.

Confirm Deactivation

- 3-Device Limit: You can sign in on up to three devices, but licenses can only be active on one device at a time.
- Session Refresh Delay: If a session ends unexpectedly due to network failure or system interruption, you may need to wait up to 30 minutes before signing in on another device.
- Internet Requirement: An internet connection is required to sign out and return the license properly to the server.
