Connecting Client Workstations

 

After the server instance is activated, client computers must be configured to connect to it. 

Option 1 - Connect by using the License Wizard (recommended) 

1. Open the application on a client computer without an active license. 
2. Follow the License Wizard. 
3. Click Connect to your network license server

1. Switch to Cryptlex. 
2. Click the plus (+) button. 
4. Enter the server address in one of the following formats: http://hostname:port or http://IP:port.

5. Click Next. 

 

The client is then connected to the network license server. 

 

Option 2 - Connect by using the License Utility 

1. Open License Utility on the client machine. 
2. Click CONNECT TO A LICENSE SERVER.

3. Switch to Cryptlex. 
4. Click the plus (+) button. 
5. Enter the server address.

6. Click OK. 

The client is then configured to use the network license. 

Preconfiguring multiple clients 

The server connection information is stored locally on each client machine in:  %localappdata%\Graitec\Licensing\HostUrls.xml 

 

This file can be deployed to multiple computers to preconfigure the connection to the license server.
