This dialog box contains the following options:
The Geotechnical Verification dialog box
Sliding verification
Activate: if this option is checked, the sliding verification will be performed.
Use friction angle: if checked, a value can be entered for the sliding angle.
Use soil friction angle: if checked, one of the options in drop-down can be selected: Exclusive, Minimal resistance, and Sum of resistances.
Safety factors
ϕsf: resistance factor for friction
ϕsc: resistance factor for cohesion
Uplift verification
Explicit verification for uplift external forces: if this option is checked, the action will be performed.
Perform compressed surface check: if this option is checked, the action will be performed.
Minimum compressed surface: a value can be entered.
Safety factors
ϕwf,upl: load factor for foundation weight
ϕws,up:load factor for soil weight
Overturning verification
Perform overturning verification: check this option to verify the footing's stability for overturning.
Safety factors
ϕwf,ov: load factor for foundation weight
ϕws,ov: load factor for soil weight
Settlement verification
Activate: check this option to do a settlement analysis
Allowable settlement: enter a value for the maximum allowable settlement
