The ribbon of the Advance Design RC Footing module consists of a series of tabs (which are organized into panels that contain many of the tools and controls available in toolbars) and provides a compact palette of all of the tools necessary to create, modeling or calculate your project.

The ribbon can be hidden/displayed by clicking the arrow button in the upper right corner of the screen.

I. MODEL
The Model tab contains groups of commands needed for customizing the footing model.
1.The General group contains commands for selecting the type of footing: Isolated and Continuous footing.
2.The Assumptions group contains commands for defining the geometry; managing the soil layer properties; defining design and reinforcement settings and customizing the reinforcement diameters database.
3.Using the Loads and Combinations commands, you can define load cases, combinations and loads – footing loads and ground loads.
4.The Calculations commands allows you to work using several workflows: directly Calculate and obtain a customized reinforcement cage for the defined geometry, preliminary sizing (launching Preliminary sizing command to automatically adjust the footing geometry and reinforcement cage considering the applied loads ) or generate the footing reinforcement cage based on constructive dispositions (launching Constructive Dispositions command) and further launch a model verification (using Verify command). After launching the Calculate or Verify commands, the Errors and warnings tab in the console displays warning and error messages regarding the status of the footing.
II. RESULTS

The Results tab
The commands in the Results tab are used after performing calculations. Using these commands, the user can explore and adjust the calculated reinforcement of an element, verify stresses and effort solicitations using diagrams, create reports or rebar lists.
1.The Display group contains commands for displaying the available calculation results, as well as the drawing of the current footing.
2.The Edit Rebar commands allow the user to further customize the reinforcement of the footing.
3.The Bill of materials command generates an estimative quantity of materials and costs for the footing.
4.Commands in the Reports group are used for previewing or generating predefined reports containing the complete characteristics of the footing and the calculation results, or for accessing the Report Designer to create a customized report.
III. SETTINGS

The Settings tab
Commands in the Settings group allows you to select the desired localization and adjust the general settings of the model regarding project data, units, objects display, and visibility.
1.The General panel contains the Project Settings dialog (where both data related to the project and the user can be defined: name, address, company, etc) and the Element Coordinates that opens the Description dialog, containing the support coordinates of the selected type of footing.
2.Commands in the Options group allow the user to select the desired localization, change the layers settings, and the profile of the layer.
3.Commands in the Batch tools allow you to select the desired Arche Building Structure Import / Export settings and to perform the batch calculation for a group of models located in the same folder.
See Customizing the Interface for the descriptions of Dimension Display Settings, Display Settings, and Visibility Settings.
