Transversal Reinforcement

The Transversal Reinforcement item opens a dialog box that provides information about the Transversal bar's general settings such as:

- diameters

- hooks type

- minimum theoretical area steel binders

- parameters regarding the bar spacing

Bar Spacing

Minimum spacing: define the minimum spacing for the transverse reinforcement, for which s ≥ smin. To access minimum spacing, please check Seismic Disposition in Design Assumptions

Maximum spacing: define the maximum spacing for the transverse reinforcement, for which s ≤ smax

Uniform spacing: select this option to provide the column reinforcement with links, defined at a uniform spacing; this value should be smaller than the maximum spacing in the current zone according to the design code

Spacing as multiple of imposed value: select this option to provide the column reinforcement with links, defined at a spacing multiple of a user-defined value

Top link offset: define the distance from the top concrete face to the first top link

Bottom link offset: define the distance from the bottom concrete face to the first bottom link
