Note: As can be noticed, the diagram for axial force in the Advance Design module is different compared to the diagram in Advance Design. The difference is caused by the fact that for any support condition (fixed, free, pinned, etc.) the translation in the X, Y direction is considered free at the top.

Thus, in all situations, the column will be loaded with axial force if a vertical force is applied directly to the support.
