About the Ribbon

 

The ribbon in Advance Design Column module is a set of toolbars at the top of the window designed to help you quickly find the commands that you need to complete a task and it can be hidden/displayed by clicking the arrow button in the upper right corner of the screen.

The ribbon consists of a series of tabs (which are organized into panels that contain many of the tools and controls available in toolbars) and provides a compact palette of all of the tools necessary to create, modeling or calculate your project.

The following tabs and panels are available in the Advance Design Column module ribbon:

 

 

I. The Model tab contains groups of commands needed for customizing the column model.

II. Commands in the Results tab are used after performing calculations. Using these commands, the calculated reinforcement of an element can be explored and adjusted, stresses can be verified, as well as effort solicitations using diagrams, reports, rebar lists or drawings can be created.

 

 

1. The Display group contains commands for displaying the available calculation results, interaction curves, diagrams, as well as the drawing of the current column.

2. Commands in Rebar Cage are used for adjusting the column's reinforcement (Longitudinal Reinforcement and Transversal Reinforcement) after calculation.

3. The Tools panel contains the Bill of materials command, which allows users to generate a bill of materials, to be included in the column's report.

4. Commands in the Reports group are used for previewing or generating predefined reports containing the complete characteristics of the column and the calculation results, or for accessing the Report Designer to create a customized report.

III. SETTINGS

 

Commands in this group allow you to select the desired localization and adjust the general settings of the model regarding project data, units, objects display, and visibility.

1. The General panel: contains the Project Settings dialog (where both data related to the project and the user can be defined: name, address, company, etc.) and the Element Coordinates dialog where the coordinates of the beam in the global project can be defined.

 

2. Commands in the Options group allows you to select:

 

 

3. Commands in the Batch tools allow you to select the desired Arche Building Structure Import / Export settings and to perform batch calculation a group of models located in the same folder.
