With the help of this function it is possible to automatically create intersections between different kinds of tubes (e.g., circular, rectangular, etc.) created by extrusion in Advance Design. A tube can be split according to a tube intersecting it, or both tubes can be split according to their intersection.
The tubes must follow several conditions:
the diameters of the two tubes must be different,
the cross sections must be convex,
the plane elements composing the tubes must have no more or less than 4 vertexes and must not contain openings.
Ribbon > Utilities tab > CAD panel > Tubes Intersection.
Select all the planar elements composing the reference tube (according to which the cutting is created).

Split a tube according to an intersection tube
Access the command as described above.
Select all the planar elements composing the tube to be modified.

Split a tube according to an intersection tube
The Command line informs you about the steps of the process.
Press Enter.

Split tube
The tube is split.
Select all the surface elements that compose the two intersected tubes.
Access the command as described above.

Split two tubes that intersect
Both tubes are split.
