The main functions for managing systems of elements can be easily accessed through the systems context menus, in the Project Browser.

Tip: To create a system faster, select the system where you want to place it and simply press <F6>.
Tip: To rename a system faster, select it and press <F2>.
It is possible to copy a system along with its entire tree structure.
In the following example, the subsystems structure of 11 - Portal frame is obtained by copying the subsystems structure of 1 - Portal frame:
A new system, 11 - Portal frame is created along with the corresponding subsystems.

Copying systems of elements

This function creates systems with the same name as the original systems, but does not copy the systems properties or the elements that belong to these systems.
Renumbering systems in your project is an essential task for maintaining organization and clarity. Follow these steps to renumber systems effectively:

Renumber systems
To facilitate work and documentation generation using uniform numbering, you have the possibility of automatic renumbering of systems. You have two distinct options for renumbering systems:
When using this option, systems within the Structure will be renumbered level by level. The process follows a logical sequence, using the first available ID.

Outcome for renumbering by tree level
This method offers greater flexibility and organization.
For the first level, the same rule applies as for By tree level renumbering.
For the second level, the ID of subsystems depends on the ID of the main system.
Each branch of the system tree is designated by IDs that are formed from ParentSystemID01, ParentSystemID02, ParentSystemID03, ParentSystemID04, and so on, ensuring a well-structured hierarchy. So, for example, if the parent system is numbered 1, then its subsystems will be numbered starting at 101, 102, 103, etc. The next level of systems is also numbered according to the same principle.

Let us check the effects of numbering using the following example.
The first picture shows the original layout of the systems and their non-uniform numbering. The main systems are numbered 1, 2, and 4, while the subsystems have different mixed numbers.

The image below illustrates the impact of numbering By tree level. The main systems (highlighted in green) are numbered 1, 2, and 3, while the first-level subsystems (highlighted in red) are numbered from 4 to 16. The third-level subsystems (highlighted in blue) are assigned additional numbers.

The next image shows the effect of By main system numbering. The main systems (highlighted in green) are numbered 1,2,3, and the first level subsystems (highlighted in red) are numbered one hundred times more than the corresponding main system. Similarly, the next level subsystems (highlighted in blue) are numbered one hundred times more than their parent system. This means that they are numbered as 10101, 10102.

The position of the systems can be modified anytime during the Modeling step. It is possible to change the systems location using their context menu from the Project Browser or by drag-and-drop.
In the Project Browser, right-click a system and select Cut from the context menu.
Right click Structure (or the system where you want to place it) and select Paste from the context menu.
In the Project Browser, click a system, drag it to the system where you want to place it and release it.

If the selected system has subordinate systems, they change the location along with the selected system.

The following message appears when accessing the Delete command: "Do you want to delete this system and its sub-systems and elements?"
Select Yes to delete the system and all its content.
Select No to delete only the system. The content of the system will be assigned to the root system.
Tip: To delete a system faster, select it in the Project Browser and press <Delete>.
All empty systems (that do not contain any elements) are deleted.
