In Advance Design you can create simple linear elements between any two points in the graphic area. The position of the element's extremities can be precisely specified by entering their coordinates in the command line or snapping to other objects.

From the Menu: Select Generate > Structure > Linear > Simple linear element.
From the Modeling toolbar: click the relevant icon

From the Ribbon: Navigate to the Home tab, locate the Linear & Planar panel, and select Linear Element from the Linear section dropdown list.
From the Project Browser: Right-click a system and select Generate an entity > Structure > Linear > Simple linear element.
From the Drawing area: Right-click and select Generate an entity > Structure > Linear.

You can configure the element properties before element creation, while the drawing tool is active or after the input, by selecting the element and accessing the properties window. After drawing the element, you can press <Esc> or simply right-click and choose Finish from the context menu to exit the drawing function.
