Simple Linear Elements

 

In Advance Design you can create simple linear elements between any two points in the graphic area. The position of the element's extremities can be precisely specified by entering their coordinates in the command line or snapping to other objects.

How to create simple linear elements

To create simple linear elements, follow these steps:

 

  1. In the Project Browser, select a system where you want to place the element. If you haven't created the system tree, you can do so after drawing the model elements.
  2. On the Modeling toolbar: click on the relevant icon Simple Linear Elements command in Advance Design.
  3. Configure the element attributes in the properties window.
  4. Create the linear element point by point:

You can configure the element properties before element creation, while the drawing tool is active or after the input, by selecting the element and accessing the properties window. After drawing the element, you can press <Esc> or simply right-click and choose Finish from the context menu to exit the drawing function.
