For a results post-processing it is required to select the analysis on which to view the results. In this purpose a list of current analyses must be defined, taking into account the total of calculated analyses.
The selected analyses can be selected from the corresponding drop-down list on the Ribbon > Results tab.

Selecting the Analysis cases
Results dialog box: in F.E. tab click Case / Combinations.
Keyboard: press <Alt + Q>.
Access the command to display the Analyses and Combinations dialog box. The displayed table contains all the analyses defined during the modeling step of the current project, grouped in three tabs:
Displacements
Forces
Stresses

Analyses and Combinations dialog
Style: manages the analyses selection styles.
Name: defines the name of the analyses selection style.
New: creates a new selection style.
Rename: renames the current selection style.
Delete: deletes the current selection style.
Analyses table: contains all the analyses defined for the current project during the modeling step, grouped in three tabs: Displacements, Forces and Stresses.
Analyses and Combinations selection filters:
All: selects all the analyses from the current list.
None: unselects all the analyses from the current list.
Analysis type drop-down list: allows the selection of analyses by type (i.e., static, static non-linear, seismic, modal, combination, etc.
Codes or identifiers drop-down list: allows the selection of the analyses according to their codes and/or identifiers.
Tips
To select non consecutive items, separate the identifiers with a space: 1 5 10.
To select a range of consecutive items, use the dash: 1-10.
The selection methods described above can be combined: by entering 1 2 102-104, the selected cases are 1, 2, 102, 103 and 104.
Select the analyses to post-process by enabling the corresponding boxes or by using the filter functions on the lower side of the dialog box.
Click OK.
Note
- Some analyses are exclusive (i.e., modes, buckling analysis, static non linear analysis, etc.), meaning that they cannot be selected with other analyses at the same time. For exclusive analyses it is possible to select the desired components (i.e., cases, modes, etc.) from the Details column.
- For non linear analysis on steps, seism analysis on modes, modal analysis and dynamic temporal analysis on intervals, the results can be post-processed for each phase. Select the phase from the Step column.
Warning
If you want to obtain the eigen modes results for the modal analysis, enable the corresponding option in the Options - Application dialog box, Results tab. See How to configure the results options.
It is possible to save the analyses selection as a style. Thus you may create several styles of analyses selection and use them for a faster operating mode during results post-processing.
Access the command as described above. The Analyses and Combinations dialog box appears.
Select the desired analyses by enabling the corresponding boxes or by using the filter functions on the lower side of the dialog box.
Click New.
Type a name for the new style in the displayed window.

Style of analyses selection
Click OK.
The style is created.
To use a previously saved style, select it from the Name drop-down list.
To rename the active style, click Rename and type the new name in the displayed window.
To delete the active style, click Delete.
