Rotation
The rotation function in Advance Design allows the visualization of the model from different angles by repositioning the view around the global system coordinates. It is possible to switch between different rotation modes: rotation around each axis, vertical rotation, horizontal rotation and free rotation.
How to access the command
Here are the ways you can activate the rotation function:

From the Menu: Choose Display > Zoom and click Free rotation.

From the Zoom and views toolbar: click the corresponding icon

From the Ribbon: Navigate to the Home tab > Views panel and click the corresponding icon

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut <Alt+R> for quick access.
Once activated, the rotation tool allows you to change the view around the global coordinate axes, offering a dynamic way to inspect your design from all angles.
Using the rotation tools
Enhance your model's visualization with Advance Design's intuitive rotation tools. Here’s how to maximize its utility:

Once you enable the rotation tool, you'll notice the mouse cursor changes its shape to signify the tool's activation.

Click and drag within the drawing area to rotate the view in the desired direction.

To switch between different rotation modes, press the <Tab> key while the rotation command is enabled. The cursor shape indicates the rotation mode:
- Horizontal, vertical and diagonal rotation.
- Rotation around the global Z-axis
- Rotation around the global X-axis
- Rotation around the global Y-axis
Important
- To rotate the view by a specified angle, refer to the dedicated instructions in the "How to rotate the view by a specified angle" section.
- For more intuitive access to rotation modes, activate the rotation orbit display via the Advanced CAD options dialog box (<Alt+C>). Navigate to the Cameras tab and select Display orbit during rotations. With this feature enabled, the rotation orbit appears whenever you use the rotation tool, allowing you to select different rotation modes by clicking in different parts of the rotation orbit.
