Planar Loads

Planar loads represent forces/loads on polygonal areas. A planar load can be applied on the whole surface or only on a certain part of a planar element. Planar loads can also be applied to several planar elements at the same time. The planar load intensity at each extremity may be specified using the variation coefficients.

How to create a planar load

  1. In the Project Browser, select a load case.
  2. Access the command as described above.
  3. Input the load parameters in the planar loads properties window.
  4. In the graphic area, place the load on the desired structure element using the CAD tools (i.e., snap modes, the workplane, views, zoom tools, etc.) or the command line.

While modeling a planar load, it is possible to cancel the last point by pressing <Delete>.
