Loads represent forces applied on structure elements.
In Advance Design, loads are grouped in load cases, which correspond to certain case families. Before creating a load, a case family and a corresponding load case must be generated.

There are various methods to generate loads on structure elements:
Punctual, linear and planar loads can be created manually, using the CAD tools (i.e., snap modes, the workplane, the command line).
Loads can be generated on a selected element or group of elements. The generated loads correspond to the selected element type (linear loads for linear elements, planar loads for planar elements, etc.). The loads can be automatically named according to the element on which they are defined.
You can automatically create loads using the available load generators (i.e., climatic generator, pressure generator).
The dead loads, thermal loads and seismic loads are automatically created at the generation of their corresponding load cases and families. For dead loads and thermal load cases, it is not necessary to add loads; they will be calculated using their default parameters (see the properties of the dead loads and thermal load cases). However, other loads can be created under these cases. For seism, only the family and corresponding load cases can be generated.
There are several commands that allow the control of the loads display in the graphic area. For more information, see Loads display.
You can work with loads using the CAD commands (i.e., select, copy, move, stretch, etc.).
To delete a load:
Project Browser: right-click the load and select Delete from the context menu.
Select the load(s) and press <Delete>.
