Define Unit Prices
In an Advance Design project, unit prices are defined in the Unit Prices Manager. There are no default unit price definitions, but custom databases of unit prices can be imported into the project.
How to access the command
Use these methods to access the command:

From the Menu:

Select Edit > Unit Costs to open the Unit Prices Manager dialog.

From the Ribbon: select Manage tab > Materials and Sections panel > Unit Costs.

From the Properties window: in the properties window of objects place the cursor in the Unit costs code cell and click
. Objects that can have associated unit prices sets are: linear and planar elements, load area, punctual and linear supports. -
From Materials window>Cost Data button>In Cost Data table, Data Set Name column and click
.
Currency units used in this dialog box must be set from the Working Units Definition dialog box.
Unit prices can be defined and modified only in Descriptive Model.
How to manage Unit Prices Sets
- Launch the Unit Prices Manager command. The following dialog box appears:

Features of the Unit Prices Manager dialog
- In-Used Unit Prices section: includes the Unit prices available to be used in the current project. Unit prices from this table can be modified.
- Library section: includes unit prices loaded from a database. They cannot be edited. They can be imported in In-Used Unit Prices section to become available for use in the current project.
- Data Set Name: Displays the unit prices set name.
- Weight: The price per weight.
- Volume: The price per volume.
- Area (Planar elements): The price per area.
- Reinforcement: The price per reinforcement.
- Add: Allows adding a new unit price set. When clicking Add, a new row in the In-Used Unit Prices table appears. Input a Data Set Name and Unit Prices.
- Delete: Deletes the selected unit prices set(s).
- Purge: Deletes the unused unit prices set(s).
- Export: Saves the In-Use Unit prices into a .xml file.
- Import: Imports from Library to In-Use Unit prices table the selected sets.
- Import All: Imports from Library to In-Use Unit prices table all the sets.
For linear and planar elements, price per reinforcement is included in the total estimation only for elements for which Reinforced Concrete Design has been performed.
