Managing your projects in the Cross Sections module is straightforward. Here's how to start new projects, open existing ones, and save your work:

Starting a new project

Every time you launch the module, a new project starts automatically. You can also start a new one anytime using the:

 

  1. File menu > New.
  2. Standard toolbar: click the relevant icon .
  3. Keyboard: press <Ctrl + N>.

 

New projects get a basic name like Sectionxx.sec.

 

 

Opening an existing project

To open a Cross Sections project, access the following commands:

 

  1. File menu > Open.
  2. Standard toolbar: click the relevant icon .
  3. Keyboard: press <Ctrl + O>.

 

The standard Open dialog box appears for the selection of the desired Cross Sections project on your computer.

 

 

Saving your work

To save a Cross Sections project:

  1. File menu > Save.
  2. Standard toolbar: click the relevant icon .
  3. Keyboard: press <Ctrl + S>.

 

 

Defining units

To define the units used in the Cross Sections project, go to:

  1. Options menu > Units.
  2. Status bar: double-click the working units symbols located on the right side of the status bar.

 

In the dialog box that appears, choose the unit type and precision you need:

The units can be changed during the work process; all the defined values are updated with the new units.
