Configuring General Settings
The General tab from the Options - Application dialog box in Advance Design allows the configuration of general application settings, such as the automatic saving frequency, the default working directory, etc.

The General tab is divided into six sections, each one containing several saving, display, etc. options.

Folders
The Folders section contains two options:

- Use the OMD platform settings - when enabled, the program uses the same saving location defined for the OMD platform (if the OMD platform is available). It also allows the selection of the appropriate OMD version (the installed version). If the OMD platform is not available, this option can not be selected.
- Specify the working folder - defines a location on the disk where the fto files are saved. Click
to browse for a specific location. The selected folder is defined as the default folder for saving Advance Design projects.

Automatic saving
The Automatic saving section contains three options:

Automatic saving section
- Activate the automatic save every x minutes - allows you to enable the automatic save option and to enter a value (in minutes) to define the automatic saving frequency of the project. The minimum value that can be entered is 1 minute, and the maximum is 99 minutes. The project is automatically saved at the specified interval.
- Compact the database when closing a project - this option allows you to save the project as an .adb file after cleaning all unnecessary elements.
- Backup automatically. Maximum number of backup files - by selecting this option, the program performs an automatic backup of the last files, depending on the selected number of files.

Display
The Display section contains several options that allow you to choose if you do not want to display the Start-up Page and several warnings and dialog boxes:

Click Apply to define Advance Design as the default application to open .fto files.
- Items shown in "Recent file list" - allow the definition of several files to be displayed in the list of recent files. You can enter a value from 1 to 16. The list of recent files appears in the My Projects tab of the Start-up page and the File menu.

Export to ARCHE
This section allows you to choose the OMD platform settings to be used when exporting an element to ARCHE, depending on the ARCHE software version installed on your computer.

This section allows you to choose the format for sending a file to the Graitec Technical Support:

Depending on your option, the attachment of your inquiry will be sent as an E-mail attachment or uploaded to a Cloud account.
