In Analysis mode, the Analyze Menu in Advance Design offers essential commands for model verification, performing calculations, and customizing result displays, ensuring a comprehensive analysis process.

Accessing the Analyze Menu

To access the Analyze Menu, click on the Menu Button at your screen's top left corner. The Analyze Menu is the 7th option in the drop-down list. 

For quicker access, you can use the keyboard shortcut <Alt+Y>. This shortcut instantly opens the Analyze Menu, allowing you to navigate the various available commands.

Analyze Menu Commands: A Detailed Guide 

Below is a description of each command and submenu within the Analyze Menu. This guide is designed to help you familiarize yourself with the functionality and utility of these options, ensuring efficient file management and project configuration in your work.

 

1. Verify: Verify the descriptive model.

 

2. Create the Analysis Model: Transfers the work process to the analysis step (when in the Modeling Step).

 

3. Mesh: Launches the meshing of the structure.

 

4. Evaluate: Verifies the elements connectivity after the meshing process. The verification messages are displayed on the command line.

 

5. Calculate: Opens the Calculation sequence dialog box to launch the desired calculations.

 

6. Reinforced Concrete Design: Launches the reinforced concrete calculation by serviceability limit states (SLS) and ultimate limit states (ULS and AULS).

 

7. Steel Design: Launches the steel calculation to verify and optimize steel structures according to standard regulations.

 

8. Timber Design: Launches the timber calculation to verify and optimize timber structures according to standard regulations.

 

9. Result Curves: Opens the Result curves dialog box to define result curve parameters and display calculation results in the shape of result curves.

 

10. Cross Section Stresses: Opens the Linear Elements Stresses dialog box which allows the visualization of the detailed stress results on a selected linear element.

 

11. Results Settings: Opens the Results dialog box to allow the configuration of the results display mode.

 

12. PushOver results curves: Opens the PushOver results curves dialog box.

 

13. Influence line: Opens the Influence line functionality dialog box to show the influence line plot specific to a crane. The influence diagram shows graphically the value of the result at a given point for all successive positions of the crane.
