Accessing the properties

In the Project Browser, select a traffic load case.

How to generate a Traffic load

  1. Ribbon > Objects tab > Moving Loads panel / Main Menu > Generate menu > click Traffic Lane.

  2. Create the Traffic lane by specifying a starting point and then subsequent points that form a polyline.

A drawn line can be a straight segment or a continuous polyline composed of segments. It is considered as the center part of the lane. This also means that the vehicle will move along this drawn line, regardless of the set lane width.

A lane has a preset width on the left and right side of the line. To modify the lane width, select the line and go to properties. You can set the width on both sides independently for each segment of the drawn polyline.

To set an existing traffic lane as a footway, check the is footway option in the lane in properties window.

In addition to lanes you can also define Traffic panels. They are used to define the remaining road surface and thus the definition of continuous load.

  1. Ribbon > Objects tab > Moving Loads panel / Main Menu > Generate menu > click Traffic Lane (Optional).

  2. Create a Traffic Panel by drawing a point-by-point closed surface area.

  3. In the Project Browser, right click on Loading and create a Traffic load case family.

  4. In the Traffic Load properties window click  (this icon is located in Implantation section > Carriageway definition). The following carriageway definition window should appear:
