Modifications of Longitudinal Reinforcement Bars - Beam

 

This dialog box displays the configuration of the beams longitudinal and transverse reinforcement automatically generated during the reinforced concrete calculation. Using the dialog box functions, the user can redefine the reinforcement solution (in this case, it is necessary to rerun the reinforced concrete calculation). During the calculation, the serviceability verifications (stresses and cracks) are performed considering the new defined reinforcement values.

Note: To unlock the Reinforcement field, To calculate field must be previously enabled.

  1. The scheme of the longitudinal and transverse reinforcement. The beam type and length are also displayed.

  2. The arrow buttons shift from a span to another (in case of a continuous beam).

  3. The diagram represents the theoretical and real longitudinal curves.

  4. The preview area displays the beam cross section image with the corresponding reinforcement (the number, place and diameter of the reinforcement bars). The main bars are highlighted in red and the secondary bars are highlighted in blue.

  5. View / modify the reinforcement distribution (bottom reinforcement, top reinforcement, bars on left support, bars on right support and transverse bars).

Reinforcement: displays the list of the reinforcement bars layers and allows the management of the layers.

: adds a new reinforcement layer.

: deletes the selected reinforcement layer.

X1: abscissa 1 of the selected layer.

X2: abscissa 2 of the selected layer.

L1: straight anchorage length of abscissa 1 of the active layer.

L2: straight anchorage length of abscissa 2 of the active layer.

Anchor type drop down lists: display / allow the selection of the anchor type for each end of the reinforcement bars (straight bar, bracket, 135° hook, 180° hook).

n: displays / allows the definition of the number of bars per layer.

Ø drop down list: displays / allows the definition of the current layer bars diameter.

Real R: displays the real reinforcement area.

Theoretical R: displays the theoretical reinforcement area.

Transverse bars

Formwork: displays the list of the transverse bars package.

Left extremity of the selected series: displays / allows the definition of the abscissa for the left extremity of the current package. Use the check box to fix the extremity to the specified value.

Right extremity of the current series: displays / allows the definition of the abscissa for the right extremity of the current package. Use the check box to fix the extremity to the specified value.

Number: displays / allows the definition of the number of bars in the current package.

Sp: spacing of bars in the current package.

Frame drop down list: allows the definition of the diameter for the exterior stirrup.

Connection drop down list: allows the definition of the diameter for the interior stirrup.

Shape: defines the shape of the reinforcement within the formwork (stirrups, pins, multiple frames).

Total: the total number of stirrup frames.

Max stirrup: the end abscissa of the last stirrup.

Abscissa 1: the start abscissa of the first stirrup.

Abscissa 2: the end abscissa of the last stirrup.

Span - allows you to view / modify spans for the selected element:

: relaunches the calculation, considering the new settings (the diameter, the number of bars and the ordinate).

: displays a graphic to help identify the reinforcement bars.

: view the 3D reinforcement with OMD Vision.

: save the reinforcement drawing as a .EMF file. The file is saved in the Project - document folder.

: save the reinforcement drawing as a .DXF file. The file is saved in the Project - document folder.

: export the reinforcement plan in GTC file format. The file is saved in the Project - document folder.

: when enabled, the user-defined reinforcement values will be taken into account at the calculation of the cracked section inertia coefficient.
