Exporting post-processing views

The post-processing views created in an Advance Design model can be exported to an XML file and later imported and applied in other Advance Design projects. This simplifies the workflow.

It is possible to export the entire post-processing views structure, or to export only a post-processing views group.

To export the entire post-processing views structure:
  1. From the Main menu, select File > Export > Post-processing. The Save As dialog box appears.

  2. Select a  path and name for the XML export file.

  3. Click Save.

or

  1. In the Project Browser, in Analysis mode, right click Post-processing and select Export tree from the context menu. The Save As dialog box appears.

  2. Select a  path and name for the XML export file.

  3. Click Save.

To export a post-processing group:
  1. In the Project Browser, in Analysis mode, right-click a group and select Export tree from the context menu. The Save As dialog box appears.

  2. Select a path and name for the XML export file.

  3. Click Save.

Importing post-processing views

To automate the results post-processing for several similar projects, Advance Design provides the export - import feature for post-processing views. The post-processing views created in an Advance Design model can be exported to an XML file and can be later imported and applied in other Advance Design projects. It is possible to import saved views tree structures in the groups of the current project.

To import post-processing views structures:
  1. From the menu, select File > Import > Post-processing. The Open dialog box appears.

  2. Browse to the location of the XML file and select it.

  3. Click Open.

The imported structure appears in the Project Browser in the Post-processing category, while in Analysis mode.

or

  1. In the Project Browser, in Analysis mode, right-click Post-processing and select Import tree from the context menu. The Open dialog box appears.

  2. Browse to the location of the XML file and select it.

  3. Click Open.

The post-processings tree contained in the XML file is imported in the current model.

Notes

- To import a post-processing views tree in a certain group, use the group's context menu: right click the group in the Project Browser and select Import tree.

- After importing a post-processing tree, it is necessary to update the post-processing views: in the Project Browser, double click the post-processing view to be updated, or right click a group title and select Update from the context menu to update all the views within the group.
