# Overview

Advance
Design integrates specialized design modules that allow you to study
reinforced concrete, steel or timber structures, then verify and optimize
these structures during the analysis step, considering the specified settings.
The settings definition, the calculation and results post-processing are
performed within the same interface with the finite elements calculation.

Reinforced Concrete Design
allows you to verify and calculate the reinforcement of concrete structure
elements, to verify the concrete cross sections considering the actions
effects.

Steel Design allows you
to verify the cross sections resistance, the elements stability and
to optimize the steel shapes.

Timber Design allows
you to verify the timber elements cross section strength, the elements
stability, the fire resistance and to optimize the elements cross
sections.

For a design analysis of
the model, it is required to:

Define
the general and local design settings.

Define
the regulatory combinations, corresponding to the studied material
(concrete / steel / timber).

Run
the finite elements calculation (the expert design calculation is
based on the finite elements results).
