Defining Rules

The rule concept was implemented to easily obtain filtered results (for certain elements and certain types of results), which are compared with limit values set by the user.

Using the Rules manager, several rules can be defined for filtering the results. After the structure calculation, a calculation report containing the filtered results compared with the specified value can be obtained.

How to access the command

The Rules manager dialog box appears.

Generating reports containing rules results

Add to the calculation report command : when enabled, the Max. rules values table is automatically added in the calculation report generated at the end of the calculation. To automatically generate the report at the end of the calculation, enable the Update active calculation report option in the Calculation sequence dialog box. The Max. rules values table can also be added in the calculation report using the Report generator.

Once the model has been calculated, it is possible to generate a report containing the results that are filtered and compared according to the rules defined in the current project.

  1. Access the Report generator dialog box.

  2. On the Table tab, select Rules Tables.

  3. Click to add the selected tables to the current report.
