Concrete Linear Elements Properties - NTC

By default, each concrete element is calculated using the global concrete design assumptions, in conformity with the current standard, but the reinforced concrete assumptions can be defined locally for each element using the options available in the properties window.

Accessing the Concrete Design Properties of the selected element

To display only the concrete design properties of the selected element(s), from the Properties filter drop-down list select Reinforced Concrete Properties.

Using the Properties window

In the properties window, you can view and modify the properties of concrete linear elements, allowing for detailed customization and management.

Key Features and Functions:

  1. Clipping of forces

  1. Concrete Design

Concrete ductility

  1. Concrete cover

  1. Shear force

When designing beam members, if the option “Detailed rebar definition on beams and columns” is unchecked, then the length 0.9 * d is measured from the element extremity. If this option is checked, then the distance is measured from the face of the support member (in this case, face of the column).

  1. Cracking

  1. Fire verification

  1. Beam calculation

  1. Columns calculation

Buckling

The blue highlighted fields display the calculated buckling lengths, Lfz and Lfy, when the concrete calculation is completed.
