Circles

 

Circles are created as closed polylines with a specified number of segments. The segments are all equal and their extremities are placed at an equal distance around a defined point (circle center).

How to create a circle

  1. In the Project Browser, select a system in which to place the element (if you have not created the systems tree, this can be done after you have drawn the model elements).

  2. Access the command as described above.

  3. The command line displays the following message: Please input the center of the circle. Define the center of the circle:

The command line prompts: Please input the radius (m). Define the radius:

  1. The command line asks for the number of circle segments: enter the number on the command line and press <Enter>.

The circle is created.

Tip

The circle function can be used to create polygons with even sides such as squares, hexagons, etc.
