Advance Concrete 2012
On February 1st 2012, GRAITEC is launching Advance Concrete 2012, a 3D structural modeling platform for automating concrete detailing and fabrication.
Advance Concrete® BIM system is specifically designed for structural engineers and reinforced concrete detailers who require a comprehensive yet user friendly 3D structural software that automates drawing creation, BOMs and NC files.
Advance Concrete accelerates the design phase (single or multiuser mode) by offering an extensive library of structural (beams, columns, walls, slabs, foundations, etc.) and reinforcement (bars, stirrups, meshes, etc.) elements. It generates all construction drawings using intelligent drawing layout.

What's new in Advance Concrete 2012
Advance Concrete 2012 increases user efficiency and ease of use due to major performance improvements. It also provides many new functionalities facilitating daily draftsmen work.
Improved performances
With Version 2012, significant work was done on the software architecture and performance optimization. All areas have been reworked: launch of the software, file opening, project navigation, creation of new views, reinforcement implementation, etc. This results in a significantly higher ease of use and increased efficiency for users. New tools for the production of reinforcement detailing
Version 2012 also has many new features improving rebar detailers efficiency. Among them:
- Improved tools for placing rebars in identical elements and counting the global quantities at the project level
- New options for visual representation of elements (automatic highlight of listed rebars and fabrics when selecting lists, new representation options for frames of a transverse reinforcement, improved color use for visual identification of bars and their diameters, etc. )
- Improved "cut type" tool with the option to simply add or remove bars or bent mesh, new options for bar list management including export options to Excel.
Interoperability improvements
- Advance Concrete 2012 can automatically export the project documents to DWG in series.
- The export of 3D reinforcements to DWF was also completed by incorporating the main properties of the elements. A tool such as “Autodesk Design Review” can be used to review models with formwork and 3D reinforcements containing their properties.
New localization
Lastly, Advance Concrete 2012 is localized for Russia and South Africa in addition to existing countries.

Installation
To successfully install Advance Concrete certain requirements must be met:
- PC with Intel Pentium Dual Core 3.0 GHz (or AMD equivalent);
- 4 GB RAM. According to project size and complexity, additional RAM is highly recommended. Please contact GRAITEC for more details;
- Minimum 10 GB free disk space on the hard disk;
- AutoCAD® compatible graphics card (for more information, see www.autodesk.com/autocad-graphicscard);
- DVD Drive / Network adapter / keyboard / mouse / USB port;
- Windows compatible printer or plotter
- 1200 x 900 display resolution with true color on a 19" display or higher;
