Customer Projects

The following are descriptions of a few GRAITEC customer projects created with Advance Design, Advance Concrete and Advance Steel. Project characteristics are briefly described along with the advantages of using the various GRAITEC solutions. Our customers have generously made available some DWF files for your perusal.

The Theatre Royal Modernisation | TSI Structures Ltd. | Great Britain

Software used : Advance Steel.
The project is part of a comprehensive modernization program concerning the Theatre Royal of Norwich. The modifications made by TSI Structures Ltd. included extending the auditorium circle by 3 metres; strengthening of the existing structure & entrance façade in order to allow the installation of a continuous steel balcony with back light advertising boards and canopy.

Olympic Ski Jump | Bitschnau GmbH | Austria

Software used : Advance Steel.
The new ski jump for the Olympic Winter games was constructed by Bitschnau GmbH from Austria. The commission of the Bitschnau GmbH included the realization with workshop drawings and assembly of the ski jump, the referee tower and other steel elements of the jump.

Bridge Niederwartha | Plauen Stahl Technologie GmbH | Germany

Software used : Advance Steel.
Plauen Stahl Technologie GmbH constructed the cable-stayed bridge between Niederwartha and Meißen. The Bridge will consist of 1232 tons of steel and will be over the Elbe River. It will be the first cable-stayed bridge in Saxonia and the longest one in Germany.

Canopy for a casino. Duisburg, Germany. | Innovations-Verbung-Syst. Gmbh | Germany

Software used : Advance Steel.
The canopy at the main entrance of the casino in Duisburg was designed by Innovations-Verbund-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG. The canopy has a weight of 50 tons. It is fixed to the curved walls of the building at a height of 10 meters. The span of the canopy at the front side is 30 meters. The span at the entrance wall is much smaller which makes it look like a funnel.

Software used : Advance Concrete.
The Cherkassy Beach Hotel was designed by Novotny Bauer & Partner Ingenieurkonsulenten für Bauingenieurwesen Ziviltechniker GmbH. The building consists of 7 floors, 2 basements, an underground parking lot, a ballroom and a bowling hall.

"The main difficulties of the project resulted from the extensive changes of the model during the planning phase and the construction phase. Advance Concrete is an excellent software to reduce these difficulties. The fact that Advance Concrete automatically processes all information from the 3D-model leads to easy creation of the documents and enables the conformity of all drawings and documents. After the model has been updated the drawings are also automatically updated and vice versa."

Software used : Advance Steel.
Audi's new ;"Production-hall N24' was the first project of Stahlbau Wegscheid GmbH done with Advance Steel. The production hall has a three-dimensional roof structure made from single bars and joints. A room for technical activities, which was built next to th;is construction, was created with trusses.

"The direct integration into the production process using an NC-interface and the low error rate due to the collision control enabled faster and more precise work. The excellent 3D-modeling, the automatic updates of manual changes in all technical documents and last but not least the good price-performance ratio of this software convinced us."

The "Liziera Residence" project is a complex residential building in Pipera, in the North of Bucharest.

The roof of this warehouse has an arc steel structure, with a 72m span.

The booster heater has a steel structure split into two sections - convection and radiation - built with beams and welded prefabricated panels.

Baneasa Business and Technology Park is a business complex covering a total area of more than 160.000 m², designed to be headquarters of large companies, business conferences, etc.

28 residences. R+3 with a basement 2100 m². Half-buried basement, flat roof, and superficial foundations.

"We are searching for a coherent, efficient and easy to use CAD / Calculation chain. Main objectiv: avoid data re-entering and errors. We have two Advance licenses and we will pass to 6, plus Arche. The software is really easy to use. The main advantage of Advance+Arche is the high productivity. We also gain quality due to 3D."

The "New Milano Fair" was designed from the ground up to be the biggest fairground of the world with an exhibition space of 2 millions m². The Exhibition halls are connected by a freeform roof called VELA (Italian for sails).

This is a time saving of 60%! This was due to innovative Advance technology and great cooperation by Graitec from the start of the project to help us efficiently and productively accomplish the project."

The 400 place amphitheater is located at the heart of Minatec, a major European Research Center for Innovation and Expertise in micro and nano-technology.

This modern and powerfull weather radar is built to allow detailed weather forecasts for Bermuda. The supporting framework has a stairtower access and was built to withstand hurricane velocity winds.

The "UFO ZOETERMEER" (the flying saucer of Zoetermeer) is a sports hall in the Zoetermeer shopping center.

The unique Multi-Purpose-Center in the middle of Warsaw reaches 225.000 m². The fancy, sinuous steel glass roof having a total of 10.200 m² was elaborated by the Vienna Specialist Waagner-Biro Stahl-Glas-Technik.
