Pascal Bergougnou joins GRAITEC PTE as Managing Director for Asia Pacific

Bièvres, France, March 28th, 2011. GRAITEC, the international software developer for CAD and structural analysis solutions for civil engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Bergougnou as Managing Director for its subsidiary Graitec PTE based in Singapore, effective March 14th, 2011.

Pascal Bergougnou has 13 years of professional experience in sales and business development across multiple industries: software, aeronautics and automotive. He has a comprehensive understanding of business in Asia, with 10 years hands-on experience in Chinese, Japanese and Korean styles of business.

He started his career as an R&D structure engineer in Denmark at MAN B&W. He then worked in Taiwan at the French Trade Commission as a Commercial Attaché in charge of the IT/High-Tech & Industry division. His role was to lead business intelligence and market research to provide consultancy to both large and small and medium sized companies.

Pascal Bergougnou then pursued his career for the next 6 years at Dassault Systèmes, the world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions, both in Europe and in Asia. In South Korea he successfully structured and supported the development in sales and services of the Korean branch office, working closely with business partners including IBM. He has a solid background in business development in Asia in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM software.

In Japan, he worked as a senior management consultant and managed large post merger integration projects at world-renowned German and Japanese automotive manufacturers. He supported and implemented multiple cross-functional turnaround initiatives toward organizational and operational change management. He has solid hands-on experience in business process management, re-engineering and reorganization & operational improvement.

Pascal Bergougnou has an MBA from INSEAD, a Master degree in Mechanical engineering and computer-aided design from the French Institute for Advanced Mechanics (IFMA) and did an exchange program at the Danish Technical University (DTU) in Solid Mechanics and Applied Mathematics. He also attended executive education in Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring at the Chicago Booth School of Business.

Pascal Bergougnou will be in charge of GRAITEC PTE operations for the Asia-Pacific area and will particularly be in charge of VARs recruitment and development in these territories in order to achieve GRAITEC gross expectations. Responsible for P&L he will manage operations according to the Group strategy together with Alexandre Tartas, GRAITEC COO.
