GRAITEC Advance 2010 compatible with Autodesk Revit
Paris, France, February 26th, 2010. GRAITEC, a major worldwide developer for analysis and detailing software announces the release of an application for Autodesk Revit ensuring compatibility with the GRAITEC Advance 2010 suite and with market standards: IFC, CIS/2, SDNF and PSS.
Dedicated to engineering and design offices, construction companies and steelworkers, the GRAITEC Advance suite includes Advance Design, Advance Concrete and Advance Steel. These solutions offer a complete environment managing everything from the conception and design phase to the production of all drawings and final fabrication.
This integration allows Autodesk Revit users to quickly obtain an optimized design of their projects and to generate complete fabrication drawings, BOMs and NC files for both concrete and steel structures. Thanks to GRAITEC Advance synchronization tools, it also reduces the risks of errors when modifications occur during the project design phase.
The dynamic interface with Autodesk Revit is only possible because the GRAITEC Advance suite is totally and truly BIM oriented. Each real object has its virtual equivalent with specific and associated properties and behavior. With this BIM technology, GRAITEC provides an optimal solution for the design and automated production of structures.
Two versions are available on the GRAITEC website (www.graitec.com/revit) : a free "standard" license for synchronizing data between Revit and GRAITEC Advance, and a chargeable "professional" license which extends the capability to allow data exchange with standard file formats: IFC, CIS/2, SDNF and PSS.
Both versions work with Autodesk Revit Architecture and Autodesk Revit Structure. The GRAITEC webpage is referenced on the Autodesk site (see: "Analysis and Design Partners Page Autodesk Revit Structure").
For Manuel Liedot, Product Marketing and R&D Manager:
"This integration dramatically improves our users workflow. It allows them to automate the design and production of their detailed documents from architectural or engineering offices using Autodesk Revit solution."
