GRAITEC announces its "structure" suite compatibility with Autodesk Revit Structure

Paris, 12 May 2006 - GRAITEC, a major worldwide software developer for structure calculation and CAD for construction announces the compatibility of Arche / Effel (structure calculation) and Advance (CAD for reinforced concrete and steel) with Autodesk Revit Structure. This integration will allow the Engineering and Design offices using Autodesk Revit Structure and GRAITEC software to run their structure calculation and drawing creation quickly, without recreating the model and with a minimal risk of errors.

In this way, a structure modeled in Autodesk Revit Structure can be exported to Arche or Effel for calculation and structure optimization. The model updated in Autodesk Revit Structure can be exported to Advance Concrete to create reinforced concrete construction drawings (model / reinforcement) or to Advance Steel to create steel construction drawings (general arrangement drawings, workshop drawings), lists and files for NC machines.

This interface is a plug-in for Autodesk Revit Structure and can be downloaded from the GRAITEC site (www.graitec.com/revit). Besides the interface with the GRAITEC software, the plug-in allows exporting Autodesk Revit Structure 3D model in SDNF 2.0 and SDNF 3.0 standard format.

Manuel LIEDOT, GRAITEC Product Marketing and Research & Development Manager: « Due to the use of the Revit suite (Autodesk Revit Building / Autodesk Revit Structure) and the GRAITEC software, users will benefit of a continuous CAD / Calculation chain, from architectural design to the construction drawing creation. More, we are going to keep focusing our Research and Development on our main goal - structure calculation and automatic drawing creation - always trying to meet every market specific engineering standards. »

Interfaces availability:

To Arche and Advance Steel: immediately
To Advance Concrete and Effel: Fall 2006
