Answer

In order to improve the performance Advance Steel has when running on 64bit machines, we need to install a new database acess driver from Microsoft and configure it to work with Advance Steel.
The database driver is called : "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable" and can be found on Microsoft webpage at the following link :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=c06b8369-60dd-4b64-a44b-84b371ede16d

Here, download the file called : AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe

- Here modify the entries :
AstorProfiles2010 : DRIVER={Advance ODBC Driver} to DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)}
GTCMapping 2010 : DRIVER={Advance ODBC Driver} to DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)}

Notice:

At the time when Advance Steel was released (September 2009), a 64 bit ODBC driver for Microsoft Access databases did not exist. For this reason Advance Steel used a component called "Advance ODBC Driver" to redirect 64 bit Advance ODBC calls to the 32 bit Microsoft Access driver. Now that Microsoft released a 64 bit driver, is better to use it instead of the 32 bit driver. By doing this you will get a better Advance Steel performance.
