Francis Guillemard setup GRAITEC with the vision to provide engineering Design Offices with software solutions featuring interactive graphical user interfaces

1989

Launch of Effel (Finite Element Analysis software for concrete, steel and timber)

1992

Launch of Arche (building simulation and automated detailing software for concrete building)

1994

Acquisition of CACT and launch of Melody (2D Steel frame analysis software that features automatic connection design and drawing creation)

1997

GRAITEC joins ADN (Autodesk Developer Network)

1998

GRAITEC is the French market leader with a turnover of 5 M€

Acquisition of DSC CAD/CAM-Technologien GmbH in Germany. HyperSteel software (Steel Modeling and Detailing) serves as the technical platform in the development of Advance Steel

Creation of GRAITEC USA Inc. with offices in Washington DC and Dallas
Acquisition of AB Studio spol. s.r.o. in the Czech republic and expansion of the GRAITEC Suite with CADKON (Architecture and MEP solution on AutoCAD®)

2006

DSC CAD/CAM-Technologien GmbH becomes GRAITEC GmbH
New partnerships in Europe (Baltic Countries, etc.), in Asia (Philippines, South Korea, etc.) and first client obtained in Latin America (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, etc.)

2007

Acquisition of Adris Ltd. in the UK and expansion of the GRAITEC Suite with MILLERCAD (Office layout design)
Acquisition of CivilDesign Inc. in Canada and expansion of the GRAITEC Suite with VisualDesign (Finite Element Analysis software for concrete, steel and timber)
GRAITEC Advance Suite records an organic growth of 91 % between 2005 and 2007
Setup of sales activity in Spain with GRAITEC Iberica S.L.

2008

Launch of Advance Design - America. Advance Design - America is base on the VisualDesign technology from CivilDesign.
Acquisition of CSI (Computer Service im Ingenieurbau GmbH) in Germany and expansion of GRAITEC suite with CS Statik (structural analysis for concrete, steel and timber) and CS Pons (bridge calculation).
Acquisition of Integer Ltd. in United-Kingdom and expansion of GRAITEC suite with SuperSUITE (collection of structural engineering software). Acquisition of French-based company abc service, a major reseller of CAD solutions for steel construction, and creation of a CAD department for steelwork construction in France.
New partnerships signed with CAESoft in Spain, Forum8 in Japan and ParasCADD in India.

2009

Set up of GRAITEC CJSC, a new subsidiary based in Moscow, Russia.
New distribution agreements signed with Chempute Software in South Africa, N.A Tecnologia in Brazil, AECsoft in China, EDS ASIA in Malaysia / Thailand, Joystar Pte Ltd in Indonesia, CGS Plus in Slovenia, Siscad in Portugal, MONARCH Ltd. in Hungary, Autosoftware Technology in Taiwan, Intratech Corp. in South Korea and Matrix in the Netherlands.
Merger of CivilDesign Inc and GRAITEC Inc. to form one company, GRAITEC Inc.
Set up of a new subsidiary based in Linz, Austria.
