Question:How do I use the new functions 'Subdivide' and 'Allowed deformation' on the 'CAD Modifications' toolbar?
The Advance Design "CAD Modifications" toolbar contains two new functions (compared to Effel Structure): "Subdivide" and "Allowed deformation".
1. "Subdivide" function
This command divides a linear element in a certain number of elements of the same length
1.1 Select the object to subdivide:
1.2 Launch the "Subdivide" command using the toolbar or from the menu: Modify / CAD / Subdivide.
1.3 Enter a numeric value when the command line displays the following message:
> This command can also subdivide a linear or planar element using a reference object such as a line or a linear element.
1.4 Select the subdividing reference object (in this example, a linear element):
1.5 Launch the Subdivide command from the toolbar or from the menu: Modify / CAD / Subdivide (or by pressing (Ctrl + B)).
1.6 Select the element to subdivide and press Enter.
2. "Allowed deformation" command
> When the function is enabled:
The object extremity grip points are highlighted in red. Selecting the grip points allows changing the object's length:
> When the function is disabled:
The object extremity grip points of the objects are highlighted in blue. The extremity points and the center point can be selected and used for moving the object. It is also possible to copy the object by keeping the CTRL key pressed.
